Subtitle: 3 music geeks from the West Midlands jabbering on about music...
Summary: Music discussion Podcast with Colin, Tracey and Ian, 3 music geeks from the West Midlands. Each episode we take a letter of the alphabet and pick two bands, one well known, one not so well known and discuss what we like about them, what we don't like about them and everything in between, often going off on completely unrelated tangents before wrestling the topic back to the bands in question like Ted Nugent fighting an alligator. Each episode will have a related Spotify Playlist which you can find on www.wedigpodcasts.com or on our Facebook or Twitter accounts which can both be found at @wedigmusicpcast.

As is the tradition we never stay on topic for long so we also jabber on about hypothetical methods of eradicating Simply Red from time and space, sleeping behind the mixing desk at Reading Festival and the extreme metal Fleetwood Mac. We Dig Music / We Dig Music - Favourite Songs of 2018 Super Mega Bumper Xmas Special1:40:0916530144100118.42 MB
It's Christmas! so, this time, we're irking the Daily Mail readers by actually not doing much to do with Christmas at all (Let's call it a Winterval special just to annoy them even more!). It's our end of the year best of 2018 spectacular! We'll be counting down our favourite 30 songs of the year, plus discussing our favourite gigs of the year and also music we've discovered this year which didn't come out in 2018. To explain how the voting works, we each picked our 10 favourite songs of the year, then for each list we each ranked them 1-10 giving 10 points to our favourite and 1 to the one we liked least on each list. we also had a bonus point we could assign to one song on either of the other people's lists (So Colin could only assign the bonus point to a song on either Tracey or Ian's list). Colin's wife then added all the points up and we didn't find out the order until we were recording, so all the reactions you'll hear are genuine.

Surprise! you get this episode a whole week early as Colin & Ian are off to Poland to see Laibach next week! It's February and we're at the letter O so this time we'll be discussing (and in one bands case, arguing slightly) about Swedish Prog metal behemoths Opeth and Mancunian everyone plagiarists Oasis. There's a LOT of very rude words in this episode so possibly best not to listen to when you're with your granny, local vicar or any sensitive members of Oasis. Obviously as usual we never stay on topic for very long so we'll also be discussing The Prog Rob Brydon, Lazy policing of Knebworth, Hertfordshire, & Rocking out and thinking about wizards...

We Dig Music / We Dig Music Super Mega Ultra Badass Christmas Best of 2019 Extravaganza!1:37:48128kbps4410089.55 MB
It's the end of 2019 which has been an utterly fantastic year for music (possibly at the expense of everything else...) so as is traditional, here's our annual best of the year extravaganza! We count down our favourite 30 songs of the year, plus we discuss songs that didn't quite make it, our favourite gigs of the year and also music we've discovered this year that didn't come out in 2019. It's basically like Top Of The Pops but with way more music from the former USSR... To explain how the voting works, we each picked our 10 favourite songs of the year, then in secret ranked our own out of 10 and the remaining songs from the other two's selections out of 20 (so the highest possible score would be 50 points if all three of us were unanimous on our favourite song and the lowest possible score would be 3 points). Ian's wife Lydia distributed the lists to each of us and then Colin's wife Helen added all the points up and sealed them in envelopes so we didn't find out the order until we were recording and all the reactions you hear are genuine.
